A4 size pieces for Cricklade exhibition in April
These are all A4 size pieces. The fritilleries were manipulated on the computer them printed onto fabric. the techniques used include trapunto Quilting, hand quilting and the butterflies are made from silk.
The landscape felt piece was done using the embellishing machine then hand and machine embroidered.
I am a textile artist, Author and tutor living in the town of Swindon in the beautiful county of Wiltshire. I have been stitching all my life but only started studying it seriously in 1990 when I discovered City and Guilds embroidery. Since then I have taken a felt making certificate and also a HNC in stitched textiles.I now specialise in machine embroidered silk bowls,felt making & layering fabrics to make accessories.I am a member of the Marlborough & District Embroiderers Guild and co founder of the Great Western Embroiderers, a group of Mixed media artist.I also write murder mystery plays!
